Pleasant Place to Live for 12 Months
My spouse and I enjoyed our time at Windmill Parc. The unilateral changes to the terms of tenancy were a bit out of touch; ... there were changes made to parking policy, as well as barracks style inspections that can happen at any time starting October of 2025. We definitely didn't appreciate that. Unfortunately we were without filtered water for about 4.5ish months when our refrigerator broke, and the maintenance guys walked in on my sleeping wife twice (and once while she was undressed). They claimed to have called us prior to entry, but neither of us had notifications or call logs on our phones. The apartments were nice to live in, and the staff was all very friendly and accommodating during our move-in and tenancy. The driving factor for us leaving Windmill Parc is the lack of agency over your "home." With the policies implemented and intrusions into your private life, you are starkly reminded that this is NOT your home. You simply occupy a unit and deliver value to Lerner Enterprises in the form of a monthly rent. When you near the end of your lease, you are again reminded of this when the rent is increased by 50%. Neighbors in Apt 315 above
12:30am and my unreasonable, unrcontionable neighbors above have been walking, pounding the floor for the last hour nonstop. ... I truly believe they are intentionally doing this to annoy us. Run and don’t look back
Moving here has been the worst decision we’ve ever made. The apartment wasn’t even move-in ready; broken stove, broken fridge ... shelf, broken bathroom fixtures, broken washing machine, and a front door handle that fell off twice. Water and the building smell like sewage constantly. The worst problems, though, are the health and safety issues. We’ve had multiple ceiling leaks where management left water damage behind walls and never properly dried the Sheetrock. Instead of fixing it correctly, they just patched and painted over it, leaving us with hidden mold growing inside the walls. There are cigarette butts and dog poop all over the property. Residents let their dogs pee and poop inside and don’t clean it up. Carpets are stained and smell. The air quality is terrible. The HVAC system pulls in smoke from neighboring units, so our apartment constantly reeks of weed and cigarettes as if someone is smoking inside our apartment. Management’s only response has been sending out reminders “not to smoke” instead of addressing the actual problem and holding anyone accountable. We’ve also dealt with roach infestations, which required an exterminator, and ripped window screens from a hail storm last year that were never repaired, making it impossible to open windows without pests coming in. Appliances like the dishwasher took weeks to replace, and basic maintenance requests are closed without the work ever being completed. To make things worse, they now charge residents for parking but don’t guarantee a spot, and they also charge for guest parking and allow them to park anywhere including in the first two rows closest to our building. Unauthorized vehicles are never towed after curfew. There are no security cameras anywhere, we’ve had packages stolen. The elevator has been broken multiple times, and the keycard readers are often broken. Management is unresponsive, unprofessional, and neglectful. Worst place to live in
Ever since I have moved in here I have nothing but issues after issues. It’s been months since I have complained about my ... AC where they don’t even do anything. I have requested multiple tickets for lights in the bathroom and bedroom needs replaced but they haven’t replaced them since 3 months. We are now having issues with the refrigerator where it’s not functioning properly. The freezer is completely loud and everything is not functioning. Now how can I pay the rent for an apartment that nothing is functioning and no one is responding from the office. This is a huge concern and I will not pay anything until my issues are resolved. Windmill Parc has an excellent maintenance department! They go out of their way to resolve the issues very quickly. If we ... put in a request and ask for expedited response they make it happen! The staff and the Manager are worse when it comes to customer service. They’ve never been able to assist me in any way. Not ... sure why they work when they don’t deliver customer service. Although, I know one person who is excellent and very helpful, she is amazing. Same as everything else is just horrible. The maintenance workers are great they help with anything. This apartment complex isn’t great. The construction is shotty and cheap. I’ve never had a maintenance request take less ... than 2 weeks to resolve itself. If you lose AC over the summer be ready for a month without it. If you have kids avoid letting play in the park.
